Police haven't given up hope. They are still searching for Asha Degree who disappeared from her home in February 2000. According to officials, Asha was seen asleep in her bed. But when her family woke up at 6:30 that morning, she was gone. Two witnesses told police they saw Asha walking along Highway 18 at 4 o'clock the morning she disappeared. But that was the last sighting of Asha. In August 2001, a book bag bearing Asha's name and phone number was discovered along N.C. 18, the same highway where she was last seen. A pair of men's khaki pants and bones thought to belong to an animal also were retrieved from the search. |

The Long Lost Butterfly There is a butterfly whose colors shine so bright But all of that changed in just one night. Her parents never really knew the plans for this young butterfly before coming out of the cocoon. So that night the Lord's plan took place and that beautiful young butterfly flew away. The sun rose bringing in a new day, and all butterflies searched and searched without delay. Up, down and all around they searched and searched. But the young butterfly has yet to be found. All the day amounce the clear blue skies The long lost butterfly still flies. She is only doing what God sent her to do. And being missed dearly by her parents and church family too. |
