Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church

Altar
The Altar ministry is a group of baptized believers who are committed to
ministering to individuals during the call to Christian Discipleship & New
Membership.

Athletics
The Athletics ministry teaches principles of Christianity through games of
endurance, fair play, and perseverance.

Audio & Video
The Audio and Video ministry seeks to spread God’s Word through CD’s,
tapes, and DvD’s. Items may be purchased after each worship celebration
or during regular church hours. In addition, audio and video duplications
are sent to homebound, inactive, military, and incarcerated members.

Bereavement
Members of the Bereavement Ministry respond to the needs of those in our
congregation that experiences the loss of a loved one. This ministry
delivers messages of condolences and presents messages of sympathy at
funerals as requested.

Boys to Men
A ministry that engages young Christian boys ages 4-18 in religious training
that will balance the secular influences encountered in public and private
experiences. The development of manners, moral, and self-respect are
greatly emphasized.

Christian Education
The purpose of the CHST EDU is to educate and encourage the members
of Macedonia in the Word of God by using powerful and practical
seminars and conferences that deal with real issues that effect members in
their everyday lives.

Chorus
Our chorus ministry invites any member to exercise their talents and gifts
in reaching others for Jesus. Regardless of your age and musical
background, the following chorus is available Sanctuary (all ages),
Gideon’s Army (boys & men of all ages), Voices of Victory (youth 4-18),
and Hymnal (all ages).

Church Council
The church council consists of all ministry leaders of Macedonia. This
group meets quarterly with the Pastor.

Church School
The church school seeks to provide practical and powerful Sunday school
courses that enrich, empower, and encourage the members and the
community to be all that God has called to be in their spiritual lives.

Complete Couples
The complete couples ministry seeks to glorify God by the strengthen of
marriages through Biblically based principles and programs that seek to
keep the fire burning in marriage.

Computer Lab
This ministry provides access to computers, Internet, and reference
information.

Culinary Art
The Culinary Ministry was established to develop safe guidelines for
serving food in a cost efficient manner. This ministry prepares all meals
and repasts at our church. The Culinary ministry assists in the planning of
any church function requiring food service. They meet once a month to
keep the kitchen clean and sanitary.

Deacon
The Deacons ministry provides service to the congregation, supports the
Pastor, and supports the vision of the ministry. Deacons must assist with
devotional services, lead by example in all things, be visible, helpful, and an
extension of the Macedonia church family throughout the community.

Deacon Wives Ministry
The Deaconess ministry assists the Pastor with Baptism, prepares the Lord’
s Supper, keeps maintenance in the Pastor’s study & pulpit, and seeks to
support the Pastor in any Christian endeavor.

Drama
The Drama ministry provides a means where Christians may come
together, as an organized entity, with the sole purpose of performing drama
in a fashion that is educational, inspirational, and entertaining.

Girls-in-Action
A ministry that engages young Christian teenage girls ages 12-18 in
religious training that will balance the secular influences encountered in
public and private experiences. The development of manners, moral, and
self-respect are greatly emphasized.

Health & Wellness
The health & wellness ministry develops a Holistic Fitness Ministry at
Macedonia that embraces the community so as to provide enriching
lifetime activities to its members and the surrounding community. This
partnership will strengthen and heighten mutual respect for the Body of
Christ through participation in spiritual growth and development activities.
In addition, this partnership provides fitness competition and Christian
fellowship opportunities.

Home Visitations
Members of the Home Visitation Ministry provide an extension of the
membership to our members who are sick and shut in. This ministry
maintains regular contact with our homebound members through cards,
phone calls, and personal visits.

Hospitality
One of the first impressions of our church family is presented at the front
door. The Hospitality ministry provides an atmosphere of warmth and
acceptance to the members and guests of Macedonia by extending loving
gestures of hospitality to all. Each visitor is humbly thanked for choosing to
worship with us and encouraged to visit again. Each visitor is presented
with an information gift packet about ministry.

Impact Teams
The impact team is committed to our Lord’s Great Commission in
Matthew 28:18-20. This ministry is also designed to train and equip willing
members of Macedonia with skills to go and win for Jesus Christ.

Liturgical Dancers
The liturgical dancers are a group of our members both male & female
who desire to give God praise. Each choreographed movement of their
hands and feet have special meaning and purpose.

Lunch Buddy
The lunch buddy ministry is a means where our members encourage
students in our local schools to strive for excellence in academics. They
are committed to eating once a week with the students at Washington
Elementary School.

Macedonia’s Messenger
The Macedonia’s Messenger ministry publishes a quarterly newsletter to
highlight various church activities, members, and ministries of Macedonia.

Medical
The medical ministry provides medical information & support to the
members of Macedonia. Screenings and health fairs are held for
church members as well as education on health related issues.

Membership Matters
Membership matters is a new members ministry that seeks to lead
people to Jesus & membership at Macedonia, mobilize members to
be active in ministry, educate people through discipleship, and help
members to develop to maturity.

Men of Macedonia
This ministry provides a fellowship for the men of the church,
encourage men to become active in the ministry of the church, and
strive to be role models for the young men of the Macedonia church
family. The main goal of this ministry is to raise the consciousness
of the men to immediate responsibility to God, family, church, and
the community.

Music & Arts
The Music & Arts ministry is a vehicle of evangelism whose
expressions are embodied within various idioms: anthems,
contemporary & traditional gospel music, hymns, spirituals,
liturgical dancers, and step Teams.

Nursery Ministry
The Nursery Ministry provides a Christian, nurturing, loving and
safe environment for infants through 3-years old during worship
services. The Nursery consists of lead staff, parent, and non-parent
volunteers. Volunteers interact with the children by reading stories,
singing, supervising games, holding babies as needed and assisting
the lead staff. The lead Staff person is the facilitator, who is
experienced in working with children from infants to 4 years old.
Additionally, the lead staff is knowledgeable on early childhood
development and age appropriate activities, schedules volunteers and
has good communication skills. CPR and First Aid training are a
must. Parent volunteers are asked to volunteer one Sunday per
month; non-parent volunteers - two or more times per year.

Phillipan Pantry
The Phillipan pantry responds to the needs of members of our
church and community through food and toiletries.

Prayer Circle
The Prayer Circle visits private homes, nursing homes, and
hospitals to pray for and encourage those that are sick. This is our
way of letting them know that we love them and that we are
praying for them.

Prison Ministry
Members of the Prison Ministry provide monthly religious services
to witness to those in prison.

Seasoned Seniors
The Seasoned Seniors ministry seeks to provide Christian fellowship
with our members ages 60-Up. Activities include: Bible Study,
Exercise Class, Line Dancing, Shopping tours, visiting sick and
shut-ins, luncheons, fellowshipping, etc.

Student Ministries
The goal of the college ministry is to provide a Christian Baptist
Ministry witness for students through activities on and off campus
from the months of September through April. Objectives include a
watch care ministry, counseling, networking, limited transportation
and fellowship with the Macedonia family. In addition this ministry
seeks to keep in contact with all members of Macedonia who are
enrolled in a college.

Successfully Single
The Singles Ministry educates, motivates, and stimulates today's
single body of believers to further know the Lord Jesus Christ.

Sunshine Band
A ministry that engages young girls ages 4-12 in religious training.

Transportation
The transportation ministry provides transportation to worship
services and other church-related services

Trustees
The Trustee Ministry exists to manage the affairs and financial
business of the church in cooperation with the Pastor and his
financial team (stewardship staff).

Tutorial Ministry
The purpose of the Tutorial Ministry is to provide weekday, evening
assistance for school children, kindergarten through 12th grade,
who need help with homework or a specific subject area. A study
hall area will be provided as well, for students that just need a quiet
place to study and do homework in an area with educational
resources near by, such as computers, reference books, and
experienced tutors.

Ushers
The Usher Ministry meets, greets, and seats our members and guest
as they enter the sanctuary. Their objective is to ensure that each
person who enters God's house feels peace, joy, and happiness.
This department consists of the following: men, women, young
adults, teens, and youth.

Vacation Bible School
Vacation Bible School is a one-week biblical day curriculum held
each year. It is a time for parents, students, the community, and the
church to come together to learn, to be challenged, and to enhance
one's knowledge about Jesus Christ. Activities are held throughout
the week. Both children and adults are invited to participate.
Volunteers will attend a VBS training class.

Women of Macedonia
The women ministry provides a Christian fellowship for Christian
women with emphasis on increasing spiritual growth. The
Women's Ministry focuses on a wide range of topics in each of the
fellowship group meetings created especially for women. The
members of this ministry are a unique blend of women that serve as
role models and support systems for younger women within the
church.

Website
Our website ministry is committed to presenting profound,
practical, and expository preaching and teaching in order to give
guidance to the believer and salvation to the lost through the
world-wide web.

Youth
The youth department (4-18) is dedicated to providing a ministry of
excellence for the children of Macedonia, as well as their families.
The objective is to create a fun filled environment where children &
teens are taught the Word of God with simplicity and
understanding. This mission is carried out through fellowship, trips,
and seminars.
